Yes, I'm aware that a derivative of this question has been asked loads of times, but I've never seen any post yet where someone got this specific card running under this distro. So here's my question:

I have an ATI Radeon 9200SE and SuSE9.0, using both the ATI Proprietary Drivers and the SuSE rpms, I can only get 2d acceleration using mesa, never hardware, and even that doesn't always work.

So is anyone here who got this working? Could you please post how you did it, even if it's really simple or something I have already done, just so I know it can be done. Any help is really appreciated.

I found out what the problem was; agpgart never loaded correctly, because my chipset is unsupported (SiS 746).

Does anyone know whether Xfree86 4.0 supports this chipset? I checked the website, but its very vague and I couldn't find anything in that regard.

Or has anybody got it working with a SiS 746 chipset?
