Suse 9.3 Radeon 9200se

Ok so I am new to linux and I am haveing a major problem with my video card. My computer it a walmart package computer that has an oboard agp chipset i810 i believe it is. So when I installed suse it automatically dedected this and installed the drivers accordingly even though it is disabled in the bios. Along with that I have a Radeon 9200se that I am trying to get to work. I watched the text based start up that shows all of the hardware and all that being initiallized and it shows that it is using the i810 and not the radeon that i have installed. The radeon is a pci video card. The funny thing though is that my monitor is plugged into the radeon and not the onboard video, and showing picture when plugged into the radeon only. When I try to go into sax2 in suse 9.3 to configure the monitor and graphics card it starts to pull up and then the screen goes black with an undescore in the upper left hand corner. Can someon help me. I don't have a clue how to fix this or what to do. I did download and install the ati driver from ati's website but that didn't help me at all. I need help please.

Thank You,

Will

Have you run the fglrxconfig command?
If not, make a copy of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf in case things would go wrong,
and then run the command 'fglrxconfig' as root (assuming the ati drivers are installed).
You will have to answer a few questions, the defaults should be good in most cases, with one big exception. You will have to enter the correct vertical and horizontal sync ranges. Don't go with the default if you aren't sure it's correct.
After you're done configuring, press ctrl+alt+backspace to restart the x-server. Now you should using the ati-driver.
In case this didn't work, and the x-server won't start, just login as root and do a "cp <path-of-your-old-xorg.conf> /etc/X11/xorg.conf"
