promise S150 tx2plus question
hi i am about to setup a raid 1 or 0 using SATA drives in linux using 2.4.x kernel and the drivers provided by promise(tm)
my question is, if i configured the raid in the promise controller will a configured kernel(with the driver installed) detect my raid(0/1) or this doesnt work and i need to just use the old software raid solution ( install each one as a normal drive e.g. /dev/sd*), then create the raid from there ???

p.s. i use to setup different raids(software) for different distibutions but this is the first time i will use the promise s150 controller. note i will be using the raid as a boot device
