Problem installing HPOJ

I have installed hpoj 0.91 for an OfficeJet 5510. The unit was defective so I got a new one. I ran ptal-init setup as directed by the HP documentation, but I get this error:

ptal-mlcd: error while loading shared libraries: libusb-0.1.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
hpoj not compiled for parallel-port support; skipping parallel device probe.

ptal-mlcd: error while loading shared libraries: libusb-0.1.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
hpoj not compiled for USB support; skipping USB device probe.

I've tried reinstalling libusb, but I get the same error.

I'm using Yoper 2.1

Any ideas?

Did you compile hpoj or install a package?

Is your printer parallel or usb?
