Found this on the lexmark site:

http://support.lexmark.com/index?loc...ab=DOWNLOADS#2

Download the drivers for your applicable system and cross your fingers; This printer is known to give you problems.

Try A Variety of Linux Live Distros

While not a quick work around, you could try running a variety of Live Linux CD distro's on your machine and see if by chance
one of them has a driver that might work. I have found varying results with different distros on the wide assortment of printers I have used over the years.

Lexmark was purchased by Dell from some other big computer firm, I can' remember which one, but you might research that and then try some of that brands old drivers.

To really complicate your life, you could download the Windows driver and see if would work running WINE.

And there is the solution of a used printer. You can find really cheap guys at Goodwill, thrift shops, Craigslist, etc. Most of the time a remanufactured cartridge, I like Priceless Inkjet.com, and a better quality printer will work fine. I have had good luck with Panasonic dot-matrix, HP's, and Brother brands and Linux.

Good luck. Michael
