Please help Cannot use Toshiba Software Modem AMR

I can't get Linux to recognize my Toshiba Software Modem AMR and I don't know what I can do to get the drivers or what steps I need to do to get it to work.

Please help, I am a newbie and a nice walkthrough with no real technical terms would be appreciated

I'd like to know, even if there is no way to make it work.

I've checked the web and am still checking but so far, have not found anything. Please let me know if this is something that can be dealt with and maybe what page to go on to download the help for it

sorry also a newbie, so I cannot "walk you through" but my first step would be to check Toshiba's web site to see if they have any kind of support for Linux (drivers ect.) and then go to my favorite search engine and start surfing. There is likely a fix available.
