Nvidia driver for Quadro FX 330

Hi

I am running suse 9.2 x86_64 on an asus a8V-E PCI express board, with NVidia Quadro FX 300 graphics card. I have installed the latest drivers for this through YOU. If i click on 'suseplugger' (near my clock, bottom right) I can see that the card is correctly configured as "nVidia NV37GL [Quadro FX 330]".

However, if I go into SaX2 (the x config tool in suse), it just has 'vesa frambuffer' graphics card (although it does say 'nvidia'). If I try and run tuxracer, it says that 3D acceleration is not enabled.

Any ideas?

Dave

I dont know how suse works. If you get the nvidia driver from their package managements, look if there's an nvidia-glx one.

Then run 'opengl-update nvidia' to switch to the nvidia opengl interface (i think).
Check in your XF86Config or Xorg.conf file that you have the line 'driver nvidia' in the device section.

This should work.
