Exclamation No USB Mouse or USB Keyboard after Shutdown

I run Redhat 9 2.4.20-8 on an Athlon XP 2400+, and when I boot into linux, it runs fine until I turn off the computer. Next time I turn on the computer, the USB mouse (Logitech USB) and keyboard(Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro USB), don't work until I boot into Windows XP (default boot through boot loader). After that, they work fine. I reboot and they work fine until the next time I shutdown from Linux. Any help on this matter would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I have a somewhat similar issue. I have a USB mouse (Logitech Cordless Optical) and a conventional PS/2 keyboard (IBM Model M ) For me, sometimes when I reboot, the mouse doesn't respond. I work around the problem by unplugging and replugging the mouse's receiver into the USB port, causing Linux to redetect it. It works fine at that point.

I'll try that, so, I do it when I'm in Linux, or when I boot into linux, cause my mouse is plugged into my keyboard through a usb hub. Neither the keyboard or the mouse responds everytime i reboot in linux.
