I have a problem, there's no sound on my newly installed RH 8.0.
My machine is a Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 ghz), 512 ram, with an inbuilt soundcard, etc.
I ran /sbin/sndconfig, which detected my sound card as:

While attempting to play a test sound (which I, of course, did not hear
) it output the following error:
