Wow that's bizarre. An invisible cursor. Do you have a mouse cursor in the shell? Or does this problem happen only when you start KDE? If it happens only in KDE it may be a KDE config problem.
If you have a mouse cursor after you launch into X, before the windows mgr loads, then I would say KDE.
If you have no cursor in X at all then I would say that you need to edit your xorg.conf or xf86Config4 file, whichever Suse is using, and change the mouse driver that you are using.
They will be at somewhere like
/etc/xorg.conf
/etc/xf86Config4
You can also as root run
or xf86config
and reconfigure X.
Try another mouse type. Microsoft works for a 2 button mouse usually, but sometimes auto works better. Or if you see your mouse listed then choose it.
Back up your old xorg.conf first so you can restore it if you mess up. Something like.
cp /etc/xorg.conf /etc/xorg.conf.backup
