I did this install a couple weeks ago and had the same problem. I googled it and foudn a fix immediatly but for the life of me i cant find that fix now.

I have just installed Suse 9.1 Pro and when I get into kde the mouse works but there is no pointer except when the pointer changes like to change to an hourglass or something.

I think the problem itself has to do with the video card (nvidia) and the long term solution may be to get the right drivers loaded but in the meantime the fix i found when I googled it last time and the fix im looking to implement now was to just add a line to XF86config in the device section that was something like "Option" "softwarepointer" or something

I know it was an option entry but I cant remember what the parameter was.


any ideas?

is there a place I can see a list of all the options available for xf86config?
