Hello all, I'm a new user here, and fairly new to linux itself.
I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, on my laptop, everything is working fine, except the sound.
I looked at the "Before you Post" post, and I did those, however I'm having trouble copying those files over, as it the laptop has no network card yet, and USB is failing. Nothing showed up though when I did lspci that dealt with sound.
I've googled for a few days now but have come up with nothing, I find a few sites every now and then that point to the same site, but the guy took down those pages. He said something about instead of using some Uareal Drivers that are supposed to be used, I could use creative drivers, but I havn't had any success there either. The audio does work, i get system beeps and all from the speakers. I searched these forums some, but maybe someone could point me in the right direction?
