Need recommendations for Linux compatible high-end sound card with 5.1 and 24/96

Need a high end Linux compatible sound card with high SNR, 24bit @ 96KHz, and absolutely has to have 16bit @ 44.1KHz native support without resampling(!).
Unfortunately Creative Live/Audigy cards sound somewhat lacking and muddy at highs particularly with regular 44.1KHz sources due to the fact that they resample to 48KHz, so I am looking for something else which is Linux friendly and preferably with hardware mixing.
Please suggest, I like having choices.
Thanks in advance.

Look at http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Main

Asus Xonar Dx series is a my choice for a good soundcard (7.1)
Input Signal-to-Noise Ratio (A-Weighted):
112 dB

Output THD+N at 1kHz:
0.00056% (-105dB) for Front-out

ASIO Support:
Supports 44.1K/48K/96K/192KHz @16/24bit with very low latency

regards,

Nice card, I've heard good things about Xonar cards, just wasn't sure what Linux compatibility was like. Looking good.
Thanks.
Any other recommendations from owners of other cards?
