i want to purchase a sound card compatible with linux. i am sure that there are many. but i can't find the one that is easy to install without any trouble and also has documentation for installation. i am using red hat 9.
Well, i bought a sound blaster live 5.1 card the other day which works fine. You might have spotted a post from me somewhere on this board because i was asking how to disable the onboard sound on my motherboard, but apart from that small hickup the card works fine with the emu10k1 alsa drivers.
