Need ata-piix arguments for SUSE 9.0 install

Hi,

I'm trying to get SUSEto install on a new bit of kit with a WDC SATA disk driver by an Intel Ultra-ATA driver. As have so many others I've found the installation won't recognise the disk at all. I've tried all various BIOS settings for the disk but none work.

From much reading I believe I need the libata:ata-pix module loaded first but, when I try it, the installation won't proceed without module arguments for ata_piix.

Despite much googling I can't find a description of these arguments anywhere.
Can anyone oblige please?

TIA,
Colin
