Mounting USB SmartMedia Drive in Suse 9.0

I've got a simple USB SmartMedia reader that I use for my digital recording equipment and I want to be able to transfer the data off my SmartMedia cards over to the hard drive so I can edit my music. I'm sure there's a simple way to mount a USB drive, anybody know how to do it?

On my debian, I have to load the usb-storage module, then my camera flashcard can be mounted as if it was a scsi drive. So in short, as root:

modprobe usb-storage
mount /dev/sda1 /your/favourite/mountpoint

Before ejecting remember to umount it.
