Unhappy Monitor is not recognized

Hi
My name is Nataraj.
Some months back i tried to install Manadrake in my system.
It failed during installation in the phase of configuring my
system monitor settings. My monitor is "SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 753s".
I tried so many times. The horizontal n vertical refresh rates mentioned in the Mandriva installation does not match with mine.I gave nearest values.I tried wit my values mentioned my manufacturer. But then also it doesn't work.
Wats the problem can u tell me?
Not only wit Mandrake ,the same problem with Mandriva also.
Y linux version r not recognizing my monitor?
Recently i tried with Fedora core 5.though it also doesn't recognize my monitor the installation is not terminated.
Y is it happening so wit my monitor being a latest technology product?

Can you post your xorg.conf for us? Chances are, you'll need to edit this manually to get things working correctly.

Just to say, I also have one of these monitors and have never had problems with it. For info, I'm using the following values:

HorizSync 31.5 - 50.0
VertRefresh 40 - 90

These are the advanced settings for your monitor:

30-70 KHz horizontal
50-160 Hz vertical

Just find where you feed those in, and it will work. It is an advanced refresh rate setting.
