Angry modules for a Linksys WMP54G for LInux Mandrake 10.1? HELP!


HELP!!!! I cant seem to find a module for my WMP54G, All attempts to use current modules have been useless. I need some help. PLEASE! If anyone has any ideas for me please reply to this thread. BTW, Please include "DETAILED" instructions as I am a newbie!

Ok first identify wether you are using a V2 or V4, it will be stated somewhere on the back I believe.
Second download the source from here, http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ckage_id=99148

Untar the file and change into the directory created.
Then type;
./configure && make && make install
If you have any compile errors report them, otherwise move on to the next part
To install the drivers, insert the windows driver cd's and change the directory where the 3 driver files are located. Remeber to use the drivers for your card either V2 or V4.
either copy those 3 files to an easy to find place or you can direct reference them up to you really.
to install the driver files issue the following command
ndiswrapper -i /path/to/files/Rt2500.inf
if no error messages use,
ndiswrapper -l (thats an L) if it shows the driver and hardware are both present then type,
ndiswrapper -m that will insert the module at boot time
modprobe ndiswrapper that will start the ndiswrapper file
run iwconfig and ifconfig to see if you recieved an ip address via dhcp.
