MDV 2011 x problem

Hi all,
Mandriva 2011 x86_64 in live mod as well as installed shuts off off monitor and freezes, somewhere around stage when kde starts.
Since X doesn't starts, after pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 monitor shuts down.
Gpu is ATI radeon 4850, monitor Asus VW225D.
After that I can only do Alt+sysRq+b to reboot.
Any ideas?
Tested 32-bit version, same thing happens again.
