After installing a fresh copy of
PClinuxOS (with
KDE), it seems that my sound card doesn't really want to be friendly with my system - it gives the following report all the time:
Quote:
Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

The sound card by default puts Intel sound driver, which seems to be (for system) the best one for it:
Quote:
# grep sound-slot /etc/modprobe.conf
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel

Alsa Configuration tools (and everything else related to Alsa) is up to latest (1.0.15) version.
Tried
alsaconf, but it couldn't find any usable card on my computer, so the configuration pretty much failed.
So I was wondering - what do I have to do, to make sound work? (When starting up Ubuntu, sound get's recognized immediately)
System Specs:
CPU: Athlon64 X2
MB: Gigabyte "S-Series" GA-M56S-S3
Here is full
dmesg output
And yes, I've tried different ways of googling for any usable info, but sadly haven't found anything...
Thanks in advance!
