Mandrake Sound Stopped -> I checked the other posts

Hi, i guess you're all fed up with sound problems, but the truth is that i've read all I could and can't seem to find the problem, so here it goes:

Mandrake 10.0
Kernel 2.4.25
Sound Card on Board SiS7012

Yesterday i had sound in Mandrake, today after installing some lib packges i had no sound, but none of the packages were related to sound.
-> I ran two sound tools aumix and other, and the sound is not muted.
-> I ran alsaconf and he detected the pci card i refered , and installed with no problems with the driver stated in alsa.org.

lcpci:

Could help me? I don't touch windows in a few days, but it's a bummer to work without no music to listen.

Thank You!

ALSA appears to be improperly configured: it is set up for an intel 8x0 soundchip, and yours is clearly of the SiS series. The ALSA homepage will tell you which driver you should be using for your soundcard.

Oops, I stand corrected. I was unaware any SiS chipset worked under the intel driver. Which libs did you install yesterday?
