Question Mandrake 9.0 Modem prblm

Ok i have an internal Cirrus based CL-56VPCI SpeedCom modem (CL-MD5620DT DSP-based controller-less modem), and after a few hours i found some "drivers" (its supposed to be a Winmodem , ???), ok everything did well until i find something like :

you must configure minicom first to use /dev/clm or symlink
/dev/modem to /dev/clm

x-cuse me ??? ???

well the big deal is that i cant find "minicom" and i dont know how 2 configure this or whatever
how do i configure the modem port to /dev/clm instead /dev/modem and where's minicom ?

-k THAT WAS THE "REAL" PROBLEM but i have 1 more question

when i was installing this drivers, i find something like:
---
First you must gather some information about your modem and be completely sure
of this information. What you need is your Modem Base IO address and IRQ number
which can be obtained from "/proc/pci" e.g: cat /proc/pci and looking for
something like:

Bus 0, device 13, function 0:
Communication controller: Cirrus Logic Unknown device (rev 1).
Vendor id=1013. Device id=4000.
Medium devsel. IRQ 10.
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xebffe000 [0xebffe000].
I/O at 0xde00 [0xde01].

This driver will try to find a PCI modem and will compare its settings with those provided, so they must match.
-----

ok , i didnt find that in /proc/pci there was no modem info there the last thing that appeared was: device 12, and next to it, Bus 1,device 1 , anyway i obtained the IRQ and I/O from Windoze
and compiled the drivers, and i didnt recieve any warning but tainted module, this can be a problem ?????

to link /dev/modem to /dev/clm type as root at a prompt...
<prompt># ln -s /dev/clm /dev/modem

maybe that will solve it... if not; to find minicom you can try this (again as root)
<prompt># updatedb && locate minicom

this should spit out a couple of directories where there is a file or a directory named minicom... and if the module loaded w/out error then it shouldn't be a problem.
