prblm install i915 driver

hi,
my config is P4 3.00 ht 915gav mthbd.
i have installed debian sarge and upgraded to sid
installed kernel-2.6.10-1-686 /with headers and source
i downloaded i915 drivers from cvs.freedesktop and but the Makefile doesnot work
i ahve installed snd drivers.the drivers downloaded contain i830,i915 all .h .c files and a Makefile but i think the Makefile doesnot contain valid paths. if anyone had worked around this problem .i would be glad here from them.

Just download the binary of XFree86 4.5 version and install it. And get going or install the newest X.org's server.
