Making hdparm parameters permanent

Hello !

On another LQ thread, I have learned that my Mandriva2007 had not activated DMA for my hard disks, except for the one with ext2 partitions, so I have to manually activate DMA using hdparm.

for instance : hdparm -d1 /dev/hdf (and the same on my five hard disks)

However, I need to set DMA back with every reboot.
Is there a way to make changes applied thanks to hdparm permanent ?

Or else (sorry to ask but i'm still a bit new to linux), is there a precise place where to put scripts meant to be ran as root at startup, or a precise file where to add our command lines ?
I don't know if there is one, so far the only solution I can find myself is to add this to /usr/bin/ and link it to my KDE's Autostart folder.

If you have suggestions, i'll appreciate the help, thanks if you can

add a line to your /etc/rc.local it is the last script to be actioned so your hardware is already detected...with root password of course

eg

hdparm -d1 /dev/hdf
