i've encountered some wierd problems, but this one takes the cake. i'm using a dual boot system windows xp + fedora core 2 (kernel 2.6.5-1.358). in fc2, whenever i try to type a capital, the keyboard freezes. whether i press caps lock or try to press shift and a letter key, the keyboard will hang up - linux is running fine my mouse responds, opens programs and bookmarks and so on. just the keyboard - complete freeze until i reboot.

any ideas?

oh yeah on a possibly related note - k3b starts up whenever i start up fc2 and hangs on "searching for new devices" how do i stop that? being new to linux i've no idea where programs start up from.

ok here's some more food for thought - pressing the numlock key also hangs up the system. everything works fine in xp. whats wrong????
