I've just compiled a 2.6.3 kernel with my slackware. I have two problems in one : I have an Epson CX3200 multifonction, but the kernel hasn't got the "scanner module" option, so I installed the libusb, and it doesn't work (nothing inside /proc/bus/usb/). I have tried a lot of things, but seems to be a problem in the detection of the start of my epson device...

Has someone a solution for this problem ?

Another thing is that cups doesn't work with my printer, but I think this is in link with my scanner problem...

I'm also running Slackware and I'm using a HP 5200C USB scanner and I got it working with my 2.6.5 kernel following info in this thread:

I had to rebuild the sane-library to use libusb and I followed the permissions tips referenced in the thread above and my scanner is now working.
