Thanks for the input TobiSGD. I I'm now looking at Series 300 Core I3-8100 so I'd need a series 300 MB. May have to just get another AM3/AM3+ MB though for budgetary reasons.

Solution to Problem

Hello everyone
I had the same problem with my GA-A320MA-M.2 board. I was able to run linux mint and fedora but I was unable to install arch, manjaro, steam os, or ubuntu. However, I called gigabyte support and they told me to enable Iommu support, and enable csm support in my bios. That seems to have fixed the problem and currently I am able to run Manjaro although I have not tested others.
