Intel modem does not work with new kernel

Hello!
At the moment I'm using Gentoo 1.4 with 2.4.21 nad 536ep intel modem.
I'm using already compiled driver for Mandrake9.2(2.4.21).
I also can compile driver myself under 2.4.20.

The problem is when I compile driver under new 2.4.25 it gives me no warnings, whn I load the modules it gives me no woring exept those about Non-GPL licence. Whn I dial up
it works for some time but then stops transfering the data(after about 5 min).

What could I do about it? I don't want to use 2.4.21 anymore
Thanks
PS
It does not work under 2.6 either
