installing linmodem

having downloaded a tar file with the driver for my intel linmodem, everything was going well until i had to install the kernel source headers??? i am new to linux can anybody help?? i am using red hat 7.3.

install the kernel-headers rpm form your distro cd's, it'll be an rpm on there ready and waiting for you.

thanks for the reply ..however being new to linux im still struggling..i used the GNOrpm utility but am unsure which rpm to load...any ideas??

use the command
cat /proc/pci

and put the o/p here we'll check it out...

basically i want to know what chipset ur modem uses..
