installing hp scanjet2200c scanner

What software can I download from the internet to install an hp scanjet 2200c scanner in a KDE 3.0.0 SuSE environment? I have already downloaded Kooka-.37-40 i386 rpm, but this is dependent on other programs that I don't have. Am I on the right track? Please help a newbie!
Thanks, swved.

that model's driver is still under development, more info can be found here:

normally you would need sane (Scanner Access Now Easy) + the 'backend' (driver) for the scanner, plus a 'frontend' (kooka, xsane, xscanimage, etc.)

Yeah, that is the scanner I have too. I haven't had any luck getting it running, but if you do, please let us know. And how. Thanks.

Just in case someone is looking for info about this scanner, now it does work very well under linux (I already tried it)

PS I think it is quite straightforward, but post, in case someone has questions about this; I'll try my best...
