Hi, I have a HP Pavilion zd8000 I am working on for a friend. My issue is I cannot connect to any wireless networks. I am using Fedora 10 and have replaced the NIC after concluding the old one was bad(which I am now reconsidering). The drivers are installed and the NIC is recognized in Linux. Any help?
what wireless nic is it ? it may just need firmware loaded.
please post the output from lspci, lspcmcia or lsusb, depending on the type of wireless NIC..
The problem was the bios of all things. Although the bios clearly said wireless was ENABLED, it was accually disabled so I reflashed the bios and all was well in the windows world. I then put Fedora back on used ndiswrapper and its all cool now.
