I am somewhat new to the world of Linux. I recently installed openSUSE Linux 10.2 KDE desktop on a home built AMD 64 dual core based machine. I have been trying with much frustration to install an HP LJ4000 printer which has a printer server installed to make it a network printer that is connected through a 4 port router that is also the gateway for DSL service. The gateway IP address is 192.168.0.1 and the print server IP address is 192.168.0.150. The problem is that all attempts have provided to be a cause of frustration. I have not been able to find the right combination of selections to enable the printing of a test page. Can help me please to get this to work and be able to print? Thank you in advance.

Here's a copy of my /etc/cups/printers.conf file for comparison, while not the same printer it should provide you with enough information to configure yours using;

Basically you want JetDirect printing to the printers IP address and port;
