how do i figure out....


How can i figure out the hexadecimal values for a gamepad???? i have the pad installed and works great with tuxracer....but trying to get some emulators working and i need to enter the hexidecimal value for left, right, button 1, etc....how do i go about the values?? i cant seem to find a tutorial or anything in that matter....thanks for any help
