how can I start internet in RHEL 5.2

how can I start internet in RHEL 5.2 :-

I used command

#system-config-network

and have done this:
1.added new device ethernet 3c501etho
2.given DNS ip address
3.entry in /etc/resov.conf as

nameserver 192.168.1.1 (default gateway)

4.given a command

#service network restart
#chkconfig network on

then got an error :-

Bringing up interface eth0: 3c501 device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

In winxp on same computer internet is working good.

You need to have correct device driver loaded (module) for your NIC. Use lspci command to find out more information about card.

Once device identified, you can load the driver (located in /lib/ directory). Use insmod or modprobe command to install the driver
