Hardware for FC6

Dear All,

I have just joined in this list.
I want to buy a machine install FC6. I am thinking of the following configuration.

Motherboard: Intel d946 GZISSL
CPU: Core2 1.86gz
RAM: 1gb

Anyone has the experience of installing FC6 on the above configration?

And/or any other suggessions?

Hi and welcome to LQ

That config should suffice, just be sure to invest in a good video card too, preferably nVidia.

On my config, it runs freakingly awesome with all the bells and whistles

dear sirs, i want to install fedora core 6 on my system. I wanted to ask that does FC6 support SATA hard disks...especially that of Western digital....actually mine is a HP branded pc....
