hardware acceleration for ATI radeom 9000 mobility

I bought a laptop Acer TravelMate 800 with an ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility integrated. (Almost) everything ok but I don't succeed to use the hardware acceleration of the video card. I find in many place that hardware acceleration isn't supported as nobody get the specs

Is anybody heard about working drivers or about any tricks to make it work ?

You can get the last fglrx on ATI site, since they now provide working binaries for Radeon series.
I too have a Travelmate 800, and it's working perfectly (as well as in windows), now.
