Hard Drive Making Too Much Noise!

Hi,

I'm Having a problem with my hard drive...umm after installing SuSE Linux on my hard drive that also contains Xp Home Edition my har drive started making a lot of noise...it never has made this much noise and it's quite annoying...it started right after i installed SuSE 9.1...any help would be appreciated!

Is it regular hard drive chatter or does it sound unusual like something is broken? Its probably just updatedb running in the background.

Try not to double post, Especially in the same forum section.
