HI I'm rather new to linux, so pease go easy on the fansy talk.
I have installed Mandrake 10, and thus it has installed my graphic drivers for my geforce 3 ti200 card.
Hovever I have a destinct feeling that some thing is'nt working since my computer can't run a simple game like tuxracer without enormous lag.
Other than running the installation of mandrake, I haven't touched enything related to the graphiccard, og mandrake graphic configuration.

further more I have allready tried that the last time I installed mandrake, and it got me no were

correction it haven't installed the correct driver... my bad
it just identified the card and installed á driver.
now i started installing the driver using a guide from this website.
when i get to the driver installation part is says that my kernel is not properly compiled.
I'm using mandrake 10.0 which I belive uses the 2.6 kernel
can enybody help me with this
i have followed the instructions here and given in the README file and all seems to be perfect. one small problem. when X boots my monitor turns off (power saving) as if the computer is turned off. however the hard disk light and everything else seems to be running OK and when i hit ctrl+alt+backspace my original runlevel 3 (that i was in before i started X)is there and no error messages :S
