I have a Leadtek dtv 200 h tv tuner card (it's an usb device) that works great in windows and I would like to use it in linux also (at least the analog part - the tuner is a hybrid one).
Does anybody have an idea on how to get it to work under linux?
This tuner has the following chips in it:
- EMPIA 2882
- WJCE6353
- CX25843-24Z
- XCEIVE XC3028LCQ
Hmm... not sure, but try MPlayer - it has some support for TV cards. I do suspect though that you might need a driver, which might not be available at all. If that doesn't pan out, take a look at the V4L standard (Video for Linux).
I think I need a driver but I can't find one in V4L.
I found some info by searching the web, but I don't know how to write or modify drivers. Here's the link: http://lists-archives.org/video4linu...b-tvtuner.html
Ouch! Then you most likely won't be able to use that card with Linux, not at least until the driver gets done, as the poster refers to it in the link you sent.
