Geforce MX440 SuSE

I have a Geforce MX440 and recently got SuSE Linux 8.1.

I unfutunatly own a WinModem so I coudn't use the automatic update, so I'm using the unofficial one's.

So (on windows) I visited nvidias websight and downloaded the 2 following files

NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.suse81.i586.rpm
NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.suse81.i586.rpm

however when i run any of these files YaST tells me that 1 error accured, I view the log and I see sumut like this?

NVIDIA_GLX

I dont thing this is ver descriptive. So what should I do to get it all working

download the tar.gz files instead of the precompiled rpm's. it's a lot more reliable.

Have a look at the README file at the nvidia linux download page, it has newbie friendly instructions on how to install from tarballs.
