128mb geforce mx440

Is it possible to check if Linux uses all the 128megs of this graphics card ?

or does it use what is needed at the time ?

I know its a vague question just really want to know if Linux actually knows that its 128 as opposed to a 64meg one

if you have a 128 meg card then it uses it and it knows it is 128MB, plain and simple ...
if your judging this question on the fact that some things may seem "sluggish" then thats probably because you don't have the nvidia drivers installed ...

I use Slack 9.1 and the NVidia card is picked up using "Generic - nv" graphics card driver.

One of the KDE3.1.4 programs identified the correct mx440 NVidia card.
