fx 5200 Slack 10 system freezing

hi Everybody

Ijust install my nvidia drivers on My Slackware 10.0 but after installation my system start freezing anybody know why is happening this but everything is working the drivers my 3d everything is perfect apart of freezing
does anybody knows the solution?

System is

AMD Athlon 2600+
1gb Ram
Fx 5200
2x 160 Gb hdd

Slackware 10 and Kernel 2.6.8

what version of the nvidia drivers? they are know to be a little buggy...

you could try the 6111 release and see if those are any better. Sometimes it seems to depend on the hardware your running on. On one of my mobo's, the drivers work alot better than my newer mobo (but using the same card in both)

with 6111 drivers x server it doesnt run att all

did you replace everything or try to build with a -K option?

i uninstall the 6629 and install the 6111 ver and x it didnt run at all
