Dear experts..
My problem is that i have a Realtech built in sound card in MSI motherboard K8n AMD . The sound on linux seems to be fuzzy when the singer's vocice goes Hight and there is this "air" sound all the time..
the applications i have with linux to run mp3's and stuff doesnt have any equlizers.. like "Amarok" or "Xin".. there is an equilizer but its turned off.. i dunno why? maybe because my built in sound card isnt installed properly? btw i havent installed any drivers for it.. all i did was nothing and linux installed it.
I have linux 2005 Mandriva 32bit edition
the built in sound card is Ac'97

What is the audio chip? cmedia, soundmax, and ect?

thank you for your help, i found that when i use Amarok, the player comes with fuzzy sound.. but i tried Xine and the sound was so coool .. so i guess the problem is solved now, Ty
