Format


I want to format my linux partition.. but im not sure how to..
this is how my system looks like..
Windows:
hda1 win95 FAT32
hda5 win95 FAT32
hda6 win95 FAT32
Linux:
hda7 /boot linux native
hda8 Swap linux swap
hda9 / linux native

do u want to remove the linux compl;etely form ur system
then in that case

delete all the partitions using

fdisk /dev/hda

use this fdisk carefully and do not end up deleting the other partitions

and then make the new partion as required

or if u want to only partion ur linux(root) partiton then u can do that by

mke2fs /dev/hda9
