Fedora 14 on DDR3 RAM

Hello,
I plan to install fedora 14 on a desktop with the following configuration. I am hoping that all will go well.
Please let me know if someone sees an issue with this especially w.r.t the 4 GB DDR3 memory.
Configuration:
intel dual core 2.06 Ghz
Mother board DG GIWV
4GB DDR3 Ram Transcend
HDisk 500GB

Will appreciate any suggestions/comments on the above.
Regards

Why Fedora 14? Have you read this?

Wondering the same here, why F14? Fedora 17 will be along shortly.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/17/Schedule

Why do you think Fedora would have issues with DDR3?

Thanks folks for your replies.
It will certainly help. I will be doing the install in a couple of days when I get this new assembled machine from the shop.
I have never used DDR3 before and hence was a bit concerned. Will keep you updated.

Regarding FC14...I prefer it because I am not very comfortable using the new look and feel of fc15 and fc16. I know that the new look and feel makes good marketing sense so that one can capture more users...basically users who have not used Linux before...However as a developer I prefer the old look and feel. It would be great if the Fedora folks have a switch whereby one could use the old traditional look of Fedora or the new Look and feel..(which is certainly good for a new user) via a simple config value in the a configuration file.
But in anyways the efforts put in by the Fedora folks is great and awesome. Its been a great blessing for folks like me and I truly and sincerely wish them success. Fedora ROCKS.

fedora 14 will NEVER get any updates
after the very first after install ( the 3+ gig update)
you might as well uninstall yum
you will never need it

you will have to use the ATI or nvidia binary blob
seeing as there are NO NEW fedora 14 drivers
you will have to manually uninstall firefox and install the current ff11 from the tarball
fedora 14 will NOT be updating the ff6 to 11

you will have to manually backport the SELinux rules as they are updated

you will have to also backport ALL security and bug fixes for the 2.6 kernel
( oh wait fedora is NOW using the 3 kernel )
so NO fixes for you .

if you REALLY want to keep Gnome 2
then install CentOS 6.2 or ScientificLinux 6.2
Gnome 2 will be used for years and YEARS to come

Perfer Gnome 2.X over Gnome 3? There wont be an switch so you can get Gnome 2.X back. The closest you will get to that is 'fallback mode' with gnome 3-

Or you could install Xfce, or get the Xfce respin-

Check out Fuduntu, it is a rolling-release distro (latest kernel and apps) based on Fedora 14 with the Gnome 2 desktop:
