Fedora 11 fglrx problem

Hey there.

I recently installed Fedora 11 alongside my Mandriva 2009.1 installation. I got fglrx to work on my Mandriva system with no issues, but Fedora doesn't want to...all I get is a black screen with lines on the top and bottom. X never fully starts, and when i try to run

Code:
X -configure
from the command line, I get a signal 11, and it exits. Here's my Xorg.conf:

Code:
# Xorg configuration created by system-config-display

Section "ServerLayout"
	Identifier "single head configuration"
	Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
	InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
# keyboard added by rhpxl
	Identifier "Keyboard0"
	Driver "kbd"
	Option "XkbModel" "pc105+inet"
	Option "XkbLayout" "us"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
	Identifier "Monitor0"
	ModelName "LCD Panel 1440x900"
	HorizSync 31.5 - 56.0
	VertRefresh 56.0 - 65.0
	Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Device"
	Identifier "Videocard0"
	Driver "fglrx"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
	Identifier "Screen0"
	Device "Videocard0"
	Monitor "Monitor0"
	DefaultDepth 24
	SubSection "Display"
		Viewport 0 0
		Depth 24
		Modes "1400x900"
	EndSubSection
EndSection
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this issue or how I can fix it?

Fedora use the open source radeon driver. fglrx is the closed source proprietary driver.
Installing fglrx overwrites some X libs. Make sure fglrx is listed as your video driver if you want to use it.
There are docs aplenty on this on fedora's website helping people with this sort of problem.

Should I blacklist the open source radeon driver?

It isn't necessary. There are kernel modules, and Xorg modules. Blacklisting may be needed for kernel modules, whereas radeon, radeonhd are Xorg modules.

Why not find something like this and follow it?
