Eumax Smart office ez-7000 keyboard exrta keys not working

I'm trying to get the extra keys on my Eumax Smart Office EZ-7000 keyboard to work. however, many of them send odd key combinations (eg. "Up, Up, Enter" for "Log off"). I've managed to get the volume dial and the forward/back buttons to work.

I'm running SuSE 10.0. Does anyone know how I can get this to work?
