Ethernet card on laptop: I installed my D-Link ethernet card into Redhat 9, not detec

I am brand new and trying to install my ethernet card. I am running Redhat 9 without a GUI and I am trying to install an ethernet card (D-Link Dfe-690TXD) onto my toshiba laptop. I inserted the card into my laptop but it is undetected.

When I do ifconfig, it posts:
Link encap: Local Loopback
inet addr: 127.0.0.1 Mask: 255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU: 16436 Metric: 1
RX packets...
TX packets...
collisions:0 txqueuelen: 0
RX bytes...

When I do lspci it posts:
00:00.0 Host Bridge: Toshiba America Info Systems 601 (rev11)
00:04.0 VGA compatible controller: Chips and Technologies F65550 (rev45)

When I do lsmod it posts:
parport_pc
lp
parport
autofs
ipt_REJECT
iptable_filter
ip_tables
ext3
jbd

Any suggestions?
