Eth0 problems

Hey all,

Pretty new to linux, I am runnig SuSE 8.1.
The correct network card shows up in the YaST Basic Network information but when I am booting I get this error

Setting up network interfaces:

lo
done

eth0 SIOCSIFFLAGS: Device or resource busy

(DHCP) startproc: execve (/sbin/dhcpcd) [ /sbin/dhcpcd -
startproc: exit status of parent of /sbin/dhcpcd: 1

failed

It was suggested that I try some of these options when booting.
pci=biosirq
acpi=off
acpi=oldboot
pci=acpi

None of that stuff seems to clear up the error. Any other suggestions, anything I can check to give you more information?

Thanks!

Coupla commands you will need in your toolkit when you get new hardware 'lspci -vb' to see what hardware you have and how it was allocated on the PCI bus, and 'ifconfig' to see your current network settings. Also 'cat /proc/interrupts' to see a list of your interrupts.

Try these out and post the output here.
