Epson printer drivers situation for Linux - 2018
Hi all!
Our small business, mostly running Mint (Cinnamon) on a trial basis, needs a network printer, duplex, for A3 and A4 brochures.
Our price-performance requirements led us to an inkjet:
Epson WorkForce WF-7720DTWF
The Epson website does not list Linux as a supported operating system for this printer.
Some staff only have Mint and need to use the above printer due to ageing USB printers which are being retired.
Does anyone have any advice as to the Epson driver situation and any workarounds?

As this is a first thread, here is a bit of background - not strictly relevant to this topic:
I'm a director of a small UK education software company. Our developers have again tried push us to Microsoft-Free Status.
Last time it was Ubuntu. This time we have Linux Mint on all but one of our workstations, which has remained Win 7, and mine has both Mint and Win7. 2 months in and its a bit of a strain, but we are really trying to go with Linux.
Tried VM - didn't work - didn't like dual-boot so installed Win7 on separate drive and go into BIOS at startup to change to boot from the Win7 drive if I need Win7. Works fine.
However, if we have to install Win7 again on all workstations just so that we can use the chosen network printer then we have failed again to convert to Linux.
